Data we collect and why
- Account data (name, email, login credentials, role) — to create and secure your account. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- Client and project data (company details, briefs, files, messages, revisions) — to deliver the services you engaged us for. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- Billing data (invoices, order references) — to manage our commercial relationship and meet accounting obligations. Legal basis: contract and legal obligation.
- Support messages — to answer your questions. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Usage, device and IP data — for security, fraud prevention and improving the product. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Marketing contact data — only where you have opted in. Legal basis: consent, withdrawable at any time.
Who we share data with
- Service providers and subprocessors that host our infrastructure, database, file storage and analytics.
- Paystack, our payment processor, for card processing, subscription billing and payment records.
- Professional advisers such as legal and accounting partners.
- Authorities where we are required to disclose by law.
We never sell personal data.
International transfers
Some of our providers operate outside your country. Where data leaves the UK or EEA we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses together with appropriate technical safeguards.
Retention
We keep account and project data for as long as your account is active and for up to seven years afterwards where records are needed for tax and legal purposes. Everything else is deleted or anonymised once it is no longer needed.
Your rights
Subject to local law you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Email hello@lynxiostudio.com and we will respond within one month. You may also complain to your local data protection authority — in South Africa, the Information Regulator.
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, row-level access controls, scoped API keys and least-privilege staff access.
